Declaring the Amazing Grace of God: A Powerful Christian Testimony

One of the many blessings I’ve come to treasure since becoming a follower of Christ is hearing the personal testimonies of fellow believers—how they came to know the Lord and how God continues to work in and through their lives.

It never ceases to amaze me how our gracious God meets each person right where they are, using unique circumstances to reveal His unconditional love and amazing grace.

Today, I’d like to share with you the testimony of a sister in Christ named Linda. Though we’ve never met in person, her story deeply touched me. I was encouraged by how she is navigating her struggles through God’s strength and how His mighty hand is so clearly at work in her life.

Let’s join her in proclaiming the greatness of God’s grace!

Dear readers,

Linda Monserrat - Sharing her TEstimony of God's Amazing GraceThank you for passing by.

I would like to bless you today with my testimony. Let me start out by introducing myself. My name is Linda and I am 27 years of age in 2017.

Many people question the existence of God because many people feel they need to see Him to believe. Well, let me tell you how I came to Christ.

I used to be Catholic. I grew up with the traditions of making your first communion, the confession, and taking the bread and wine. However, each Sunday that my mom and I attended church, we left the same way we came in.

When I turned ten, I decided to tell my mom I didn’t want to attend church anymore. So, we stopped, and I never did the confirmation. We sought a church for almost ten years. But each Catholic Church was the same, and we stopped looking.

When I was 18 and had just graduated from High School, I met my Pastors outside of the congregation. They were neighbors of one of my mom’s friends. Mom and I started attending Bible studies with them at their home. About 6 months later, they rented a large room in a local hotel to start service. They had just moved from Mexico to open up a congregation for their calling.

We all have a purpose in life, which is known as our calling. If you ask me, “How is it that you believed in something you did not see?” I’d reply, “I didn’t care about God when I was a Catholic. But later, life’s issues proved to me that God was real.”

So due to my calling, I became spiritually thirsty. Everything I learned, I shared. I didn’t care if it was someone at a gas station I didn’t know. It was in me to share what I was learning. I was thirsty for the word of our Lord.

Months later, my pastors decided to make a retreat, which is where I had my first personal encounter with God. It wasn’t called a retreat but a “calling.” During the calling in a moment of prayer, my tongue started rolling and I couldn’t make it stop. I was speaking another language or dialect. I began speaking in tongues.

Speaking in tongues means “speaking in the spirit.” Speaking in tongues is one of the spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:4; Acts 19:6; 1 Corinthians 14:2)

That is how I knew then and there that everything in the Scripture was true. It proved to me that everything is real and God does exist. I immediately began to have even more thirst and craving for the Gospel. God had just been proven to me. Maybe I didn’t see Him, but I experienced Him.

This is only the beginning of my testimony.

Now I ask, do you need to personally experience His presence like I did as well? Or do you need to hear a life struggle to believe? What is it that you need?

With love,

Linda Monserrat

Now I’d love to hear from you—

How did you come to know the Lord? What opened your eyes to your need for a Savior? And since surrendering your life to Christ, in what ways have you seen Him move in your heart, your home, your work, or your ministry?

Your testimony matters. Feel free to share it in the comments below so others may be encouraged and reminded of the power of God’s transforming grace.

May the Lord bless you and keep you always!

🙏 A Short Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the power of testimony and for the many ways You reveal Yourself to us. Thank You for Linda’s story and how You are working in her life. May her journey inspire others to draw near to You and trust in Your unfailing grace. Strengthen our faith, Lord, and help us to boldly share the hope we have in Christ. May every story told bring glory to Your name and lead more hearts to You.

In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.

  1. It is true that many people do not believe in God because He can not be ‘seen’. I reply to that with “Do you see the live trees? Or the green grass? Or the beautiful flowers? Those are all of God’s creations.” God is around us everywhere we look. I truly hope that you succeed in helping people find the grace of God.

    • Atheists are always asking for proofs that God exists but when they find not just one but many, they are not willing to follow where the evidence leads them.

Thank you HL for dropping a word, shalom and God bless!

      • Hi Alice,
When it comes to this point, I always think they are waiting for something like what I experienced. I also experienced His audible voice later on in life but I did not listen. I think it’s the same way. It’s all about obeying.

        • Perhaps it could be pride that’s stopping them from acknowledging the truth that God really does exist? Can’t admit that they’re wrong. Or accountability maybe? Think about it, if they insist that God did not give them enough proof that He’s real and that heaven and hell are real, at the end of the day when they face judgment they can use this as an excuse for not bowing their knee to the Creator.

  2. Praise Master Jesus!! My encounter with God was swift, it happened in a flash. I always believed in God but not so much in miracles. All I knew God to be was that big God above who sees all that we do and keeps record of every activity. Little did I know He watches over us, little did I know He protects us.

I was driving a manual car in 2014 and I had my gear in 5. The road was free and I felt like a king, suddenly a lorry with almost same speed as mine was about to overtake a vehicle coming in front of me. It was all in a bend, the only thing I remember was I wanted to hold my breaks, but in a second I found myself parked in the opposite side of the road. How did that happen? What did I do? Am I dead? Who drove the car? How did I get to this other side of the road? Why am I packed?… All this questions ran through my mind. It all happened in a second. That was my first miracle and my first encounter with God. I would have been long dead, but God has plans for me.

    • Hi John,

Thank you for sharing your personal encounter with God and how God saved you from that car accident. God is really good. No, God is great! And He works in marvelous ways to show us He’s real and that He’s always watching over us. We may not always be aware of His presence but as He promised, He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6; 31:8).

      May God richly bless you!

    • Hi John,
That is such a powerful testimony. You can see how God protects us each passing day. This is the reason why we should pray each morning as we wake up and ask for his protection. Always pray for yourself. Miracles do happen.

      Blessings!
